About The Artwork
This painting is a composite of two different dates. Initially, I began the painting with some photos from when the city was closed and the streets were mostly empty. As I worked, I realized that I needed more reference for the piece. I returned to the same block over a year later, with people once again going about their day. I walked around took more photos and enjoyed a nice soup.
