Flowers composition #11 - large size painting, oil on canvas, 84 cm x 198cm, (33" x 78"), 2023 Abstract expressionism, the only style in painting where the artist depicts what he doesn't know anything about yet. Abstract painting is like walking in a Chinese garden. I can choose any of the paths, but it does not depend on me what kind of landscape will appear in a couple of steps. What trees, flowers or a pond with water lilies will appear around me. The situation appears unexpectedly and everything has its hidden meaning. The color, texture and shape of the lines on the abstraction are a reflection of the artist's consciousness at the time of working on the painting. I draw what he feels at this moment. Spots and blots on the canvas give the opportunity for new ideas, they arise independently of the artist. Mistakes are a chance of diversity. Order reduces diversity. Abstractionism is about the inner world. No one else will be able to repeat the picture. Emotions arise on the surface of the canvas from the first seconds of work. Dmitry Spiros (born 1971), a contemporary impressionist artist Currently resides in Cancun, Mexico. The subjects of his paintings are mainly urban scenes, genre paintings, the sea, flowers and portraits. Most of Dmitry’s paintings were created using a palette knife, oil and acrylic paints. In the 90s, Dmitry studied art, ceramics and the history of painting, graduating from college with honors in 5 years. Dmitry also taught painting and collaborated as a designer at the British-American tobacco giant BAT and Nestle. In 2011, Dmitry Spiros came to Mexico, falling in love with the beauty of Mexican beaches, the warm Caribbean Sea and the rich archaeological heritage of the area. This environment, so ideal for creative work, and the variety of its colors inspired Dmitry to spend most of his time drawing. Dmitry Spiros’ works and his participation in several charity auctions continue to attract more and more attention. Today, Spiros despite many disputes about his art, enjoys great love and appreciation of the public. His paintings are in private collections in many countries of the world.
