ABOUT THE ARTWORK

This piece was inspired by colors of Japan with the fusion of western modern art. In my exploration of Abstract art which does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of visual reality but instead the use of shapes, colors, forms, and gestural marks to achieve my effect which opens up a universe of endless possibilities which I explore in real time for a life time. My style of art that begins in reality, but may be expressed through simplification, stylization, fragmentation, reassembly, and distortion and rhythm such as a combination of elements repeated, but with variations yet unified by the result of elements that combine to make a balanced, harmonious, complete whole. I can't explain it a movement that flows through me and is solidified in time, yet still a vortex moving on the wall for the viewer forever.
