Inspired by the amazing desert landscape of New Mexico and the state flag, this piece combines both with hundreds of hand crafted polymer skulls and bones dried onto hardboard finished and weathered with acrylic paints. growing up in Santa Fe gave me a love of art, the southwest and the harsh environment that produces death, decay and eventually rebirth. Inspired by Rodins "Gates of Hell" and the Paris catacombs as well as countless other artists and still lifes, this piece is unique and 1 of 1.

My love of skulls and bones comes from living in the harsh desert landscape and the life and death struggles within it. My work obviously has the element of death in it but I try and expand on that through patterns, chaos and commonality.
