About The Artwork
This is one of a continuing and evolving series of grid drawings that I do in various fine liners or using dip pens they range from A3 work to A1, it will continue! My inspiration is simple mark making from primitive art to patterns in the back ground of many other artists ranging from Hockney's drawing of window and floor patterns to anything that catches my eye! Viewers are entitled to see what they see in a drawing I try not to title to distract! My style and mediums are all closely related as are the mark making that has grown from small dots and and lines to arranging them in many ways. They are an increasing and lifelong interest in patterns!

I am an abstract artist, who moved to St. Ives Cornwall in 2010. Member of St Ives Society of Artists. The main body of my work is abstract drawing using small marks to build the image. I set out rules at the start of each piece and follow until it is finished. I work mainly on paper and on 'found' or recycled wood and many other materials. I also remix promotional art booklets and flyers. I am also an electronic musician.
