"Garish" KroudSorcery", 2016; Ink, Acrylic, and Spray Paint on Skate Deck; 7.8" x 32" We all have expectations of what the world should be like, based on our given situations, upbringing, and perspective. However, people outside of our current situation often judge us harshly based on our opinions, ideas, and experiences. Too often cultures are assimilated into others through peer pressure alone - it is a brave person who can stay true to themselves when everyone around them try to have them conform to a certain ideal or cultural norm. It is our uniqueness that breeds innovation and change - and nothing improves without those that buck the system. Change is scary, but it is necessary for growth.
