This is part of an on-going series of collages in various styles and subject matter. My Collage here is loosely inspired from a 1913 cubist painting by Juan Gris, titled in French "Violon et gravure accrochée" (= violin and illustration on a hook). It is made up of Canson coloured pastel papers, found papers, my own handmade acrylic painted papers, black marker, white pastel pencil, cut up photo of painter Juan Gris from 1922, illustration of a violin. It is hoped that the particular overall imagery conveyed by this Collage would attract any curious viewer interested in the cubist style that was created in the early years of the 20th century. And once appropriately Matted and Framed by the Buyer it will make for a colourful and arresting piece, suitable to hang anywhere, either by itself or among other artworks. It should be noted that as with any paper artwork it is strongly recommended that it be displayed under glass for proper preservation and enhanced presentation.
