Brush dance

A series of abstract paintings based on liberating the emotions through the paintbrush, a sort of dance which departs from splicing the canvas into four, allowing a limited palette of colors, and coming back to control to highlight a meaning which emerged from this dance. The exercise is a difficult one as I like to prepare everything prior to painting, and while painting, I like to control every of my movements. It was liberating, but then again, I can recognize through the brush strokes patterns and curves I have worked on over the past years. The paintings were created with a radically different process but I find a harmony between them and my other paintings, they are intrinsically part of my work.
