Annie Porsa

Annie is a Latvian artist creating abstract art full of colour, texture, and emotion. Her art is focused on self-exploration and mental well-being. Having struggled with mental health and well-being herself, Annie has discovered how healing viewing and creating art can be.

The bright and sophisticated colour palette represents hope and a brighter future and the delicate and raw pencil and pastel marks filling every piece of art with feelings of hope, enthusiasm and happiness.

By documenting her own self-exploration, Annie hopes to inspire others to do so as well and hopefully bring some kind of positive emotion, feeling, or change into the viewer or collector’s life.

"I’ve always been drawn to humongous, bold pieces of art that instantly grab every bit of your attention. Like everything else in my life – style, make-up, home interior, and so on – my art has to be colorful and attention-grabbing. It’s a statement piece. It makes me proud to have created it and it makes the collectors proud to own it.

I usually work on a large canvas or handmade cotton rag paper, flooding the surface with bold, bright colors, unique textures, and marks that take you on a different visual adventure every time you view it.
