inspired by my boyhood, growing up from the street of Africa, the decisions and experiences that fashioned my adulthood. unzipped a lot of things Including my style and couture. The process of making this work was very challenging as i used my vintage sewing machine to sew the zip in the canvas before i started adding layers of Acrylic paints to it. However I love trying new techniques and this zip styling is really amazing to me. Thick layered painting

King is a multidisciplinary self-taught artist from Enugu, Nigeria. He was diagnosed with dyslexia from an early age. As a response to this, he started to explore painting as an alternative communication tool. By portraying his emotions on the canvas, the obstacles present in written language, disappear. Through diverse forms of material expression, such as designing, making handmade leather crafts and jewellery, he creates mixed media artworks which combine his artistic knowledge with his unique way of perceiving the world. In October 2021, King founded the “afro-evangelism art” movement, which aims on utilising the beauty of art to preach a message of love and stir up spiritual enlightenment in the mind of his viewers.
