This colorful metal wall sculpture was inspired by The Broadway musical "Fiddler on the Roof". Based on stories of the Yiddish author Sholem Aleichem. His short stories about "Tevya the Dairyman" depicted many elements of the life and hardships in a Jewish Shteitel during the time of czarist Russia. *The hills that hold it all together and resemble a Shabbat challah are made of 3mm thick aluminum. *All the rest is 1mm thick stainless steel. *The sculpture is made in 3 layers separated from each other, with different elements in different levels. *It's a little over 5 feet (160 cm) long, almost 2 feet (58 cm) high. Total depth from wall is 1.6" (4 cm)

Israel
Leon Israel’s sculpture designs are organic, flowing, and inspired by nature. Some of his favorite inspirations are leaves, flowers, birds and ocean waves. This wall art begins as laser cut metal, but becomes much more than that. Leon uses his many years of experience in metal working to bend, shape, layer and bring his designs to life. Then he paints them in vivid colors. Leon Israel studied jewelry design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Israel's foremost art school has been designing and producing gold jewelry for many years. His jewelry has received awards including the DeBeers “Diamonds International Award”. His works have been featured in museum exhibits in Israel and in the books “Crafts of Israel by Ruth Dayan, and “Jewellery in Israel” by Iris Fishof. Leon’s jewelry is like miniature sculpture. So it was a natural development for him to branch out and design on a much larger scale. The wall art is much larger, but every detail is treated as meticulously as a piece of jewelry to make beautiful and original home décor.
