The Dirty Buffalo I First series of my painting inspired by a Javanese - Indonesian proverb "Ojo cedak kebo gupak" translated in English as "don't get too close to a dirty buffalo". These painting series dedicated to anyone who ever made mistakes in their life because of their mistaken in choosing sides or letting someone get too close to them. This is really means a lot and as a reminder for myself about all those mistakes, and hopefully to my successor or also anyone who able to feel and understand the truth about this painting concept. Sometimes... how hard someone loved their lovers... They could still do some mistakes in their relationships. Not because they are intended to do so.. But in this case.. When they are making mistakes in letting wrong people getting too close to them. It could be the spark of fire in the middle of fuel ocean. I choose a bride as a model in this painting because of that idea according to the proverb to visualize that even someone already married to their lovers, the bride and vice versa... it doesn't change the possibility to do some mistakes mentioned above. When a bride with their beautiful wedding dress getting too closed to a dirty buffalo smothered in mud (as a symbol of a bad people with all of their bad influences). There's no chance that those beautiful dress would stay clean without any mud marks on that even just a little... And mostly... the dirt will remain forever even washed several times with a strongest detergent. Shortly of all... Just stay away from troubles. Bad things in your life doesn't always came from destiny. It could comes from your mistakes in choosing decisions.

I am a half self taught artist living and working in Surakarta also Jogjakarta, Indonesia. I've start painting on canvas for over 16 years ago learning from my high school art teacher but had stop and concentrate on my work as 3D artist since about 10 years ago soon after i finish my study in graphic design at college. for about these recently 5 years i feel missing my passions in fine art and paintings. so finally here i am starting to made paintings again. now with my experiences in digital art as 3D artist, i want to combine my paintings between digital work and fine art, making sketches in digital then transfer it to canvas. or just to print my digital artwork and retouch it and combine with painting oils on canvas to catch the feels of hand paintings. my paintings concepts comes in couples ways, sometimes it comes from my personal life and experiences, something happened around me in social life, proverbs, and also my perspective in seeing things. i still learning to made great artworks, and maybe will do that in my entire life, i always trying to do my best in every paintings i made, so hopefully the viewers would like and accept my artworks.
