"Innocence" started as a preliminary work for a larger art project. However, I chose to highlight this particular painting because it captures the purity of animals amidst challenging circumstances. My dog is believed to be a stray from Spain, likely endured mistreatment, such as being kicked for seeking affection or asking for food from strangers. Despite the harshness of its situation, the dog embodies innocence, a quality shared by many other animals, not just dogs. The artwork employs three distinct media: colored pencil, acrylic paint, and oil paint. Each medium conveys different textures, symbolizing various stages of the animal's life journey, from its difficult beginnings to finding safety and happiness. In the initial stages, represented by rough textures, the animal's health is poor due to neglect. However, as it receives care and support, depicted by smoother textures, its overall well-being improves, marking the start of a new, more positive chapter. This item will be shipped in a tube, and the suggested method for hanging it is to have it framed.

I first encountered art during my GCSE Fine Art studies, but it was after completing this course that my skills and creativity truly blossomed. My artistic focus centers on animals, plants, and landscapes, often drawing inspiration from reference images. These references are either photographs I've taken myself or pictures obtained from previous works. My preferred media include oil paint, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and monochromatic drawing techniques.
