About The Artwork

That wolves return - or better: that we set the framework within which we allow the wolves to return - does not mean that we do not fear the wild, the untamable, darkness of the wilderness. Or that we hold it in less low esteem. Or even that we stop pushing it back. The wolf, cherished, monitored, preserved in its target population - and, if it jumps the fence and does what wolves do, hunted as well - is back ... while the wilderness itself, as a whole, is dwindling. By the way, also the one in ourselves. And far beyond the German "forest dieback." The wolfish in us is that we destroy the wilderness, in which the wolf would have its place. The wolf that one does not see is more threatening than the one that one sees. The color is my voice. I work intuitively, let myself be guided. In my abstract works even more than in the representational painting. Often it is not yet clear to me what wants to come to the surface. I am moved by personal, emotional - but also social and societal issues. I experiment with different materials, apply the paint layer by layer in glazes. This allows the light to penetrate the different layers and is reflected from the depths in some places. It thus becomes part of the artwork. What does it illuminate? Everything that occupies the artist - on the surface and perhaps even first in the depths. The work of art is then finished, then thriving, when it brings the different layers into harmony. The painting offered here is entitled "Forest, fading..." A final layer of varnish applied protects it from light and dust. - Original work of art – one-of-a-kind - Acrylic on canvas - 60x40 cm - Signed on the edge and dated with the year of creation - Comes with a certificate of authenticity The representation may vary in color, contrast, brightness, or sharpness from the original image depending on monitor settings.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

My art is the result of a long, deep search, a journey towards myself. It reflects both individual and universal experiences. Nature is a big source of inspiration for me. My painting tells of fragility and vulnerability. It is my way of translating my experiences and feelings – in shapes, colours, gestures and shades. The focus is on people and nature – and their relationship to each other. Layer by layer, I combine the abstract with the familiar, the figurative with the imaginary. My paintings convey a feeling that is difficult to grasp, yet familiar.
