This drawing belongs to a series of watercolors on paper representing ENCOUNTERS between women and animals in wilderness but nothing appears wild in this image. The setting for this encounter which takes place in India many years ago, perhaps even before the English colonization, in a lush garden around the beautiful villa of a Maharaja the ruler of a region in the state of Rajasthan in the north of the country. Therefore I imagine the young wife, the Maharani that is the queen and I imagine her while she takes the fresh air resting in the middle of the thick vegetation tighter with a tame bengal tiger and her little puppy

I was born in Turin, earned my degree in humanities in Pisa, and live in Florence. Today, I devote most of my energies to making art, maintaining, however, continuity with my work in publishing, which I have been doing for a long time for publishing houses in Italy and abroad (France, Japan, Greece, Spain and Switzerland). In recent years – with a growing interest, on one hand, in what for me were new techniques of expression and, on the other, in a more adult usership of my work – I began to devote myself to painting and sculpture.
