You have to want to get to Terlingua. It's not on any beaten path. In its heyday, it was a mining town and now is mostly only inhabited by a hardy and weathered few who call this part of the desert home. For the most part it is a true ghost town. This graveyard has been here for a century and the original shallow graves with simple crosses mark the miners who succumbed to the elements. This photo is a personal favorite. I have it hanging on my own wall. The photo is printed on Museum Exhibition Fiber and will strongly compliment any Southwestern-themed environment.

Daniel Ashe is an established artist specializing in Fine Art, Travel, Landscape, Commercial Architecture, Street and Documentary style photographic disciplines. Daniel's body of work spans almost two decades with permanent installations throughout the U.S. in Corporate, Hospitality, Government and private collection. Artist Statement: I migrated from a successful career in professional music to being a professional photographer in the early 2000's. The continued pursuit of artistic expression allowed me to adapt to photography with the same passion as my music craft, using the camera as my instrument and my eye and composition to create melodic imagery. For as long as I can remember, I have been passionate about photography. I could spend days in a dusty attic going through boxes of old photos and photo books, getting lost in imagery. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to work professionally as a photographer, and ultimately as an artist. I recall once telling a mentor that “I shot some really good stuff today”. She emphatically said, “It’s not stuff, it’s art! And you don’t shoot it – you capture it with passion and release it to the world!” No truer words have crossed me since. When I’m out in the world ‘capturing art’, sometimes for days on end, it’s a feeling of being truly alive - interacting with the entire environment, from micro to macro. It is a visceral journey strung together by frames, thoughtful angles and creative perspectives. It is a hugely satisfying experience. It is a day of passion.
