In this fascinating mixed media artwork, the viewer is transported to a world where street art meets the serenity of children's play. Against a soothing beige background, a swing takes center stage, stimulating the imagination. Painted in striking shades of black and white, The artist pays meticulous attention to detail and infuses the composition with a host of small, intriguing elements. Orange accents mingle with white and black, creating bursts of vibrant energy throughout the work. These accents, like whispers in the wind, add a dynamic layer to the otherwise monochromatic scene, drawing the eye to subtle details. As the viewer's gaze wanders across the canvas, he discovers a world within a world. Small street art motifs, carefully embedded in the background, emerge from the canvas like hidden treasures. Each detail tells a story and references the urban environment that embraces the swing. The contrast between the soft beige background and the bold, expressive street art elements creates a visually arresting juxtaposition. It symbolizes the intersection of innocence and urban vibrancy and invites reflection on the harmonious coexistence of contrasting worlds. SWING OF DREAMS : A Melody in Monochrome" invites viewers to reflect on the transcendent power of imagination, the fleetingness of childhood and the enduring influence of urban art.

I assemble original photography, assorted papers, acrylics, oil, charcoal, ink and pencil in my works. The variety of resources I am able to use has proved indispensable to me. The biggest challenge the collage medium posed was its unforgiving lack of transparency. Finding a way to replicate the effects of transparency afforded by paint, especially water colors, was “a large victory” for me . The preparing labor shows through in my collages; layer upon layer of material remains visible in the finished pieces. I believe my body of work is characterized by my skill for reinvention. Having always loved the appearance of weathered walls plastered with peeling paint and old posters, I revive this aesthetic with hopefully a keen and professional eye. The creative objective of my work is to “make something beautiful out of dilapidation.”My tableaus explore the dissonance between old and new materials, intertwined in the most beautiful possible way to create dreamlike and melancholy images.
