Angie Sinclair defies the notion that oil and water don't mix. Her oil paintings beautifully capture the calming essence of water, often featuring fashionably dressed females gracefully immersed. Drawing from her fashion and ballet background, Angie infuses her models with graceful movement as they fly, float, and glide in the water. With an eye for design, she enhances their bodies with colorful fabrics, patterns, and colors that harmonize with the surrounding water. Angie’s skill, using loose, broad, flowing brushstrokes, enhances natural light and colors, creating mesmerizing reflections on canvas. Her process involves capturing photos and videos above and below the water's surface, immersing herself in the environment for authenticity. She meticulously transforms these images to match her artistic style, using oil paint to enhance fluidity. Angie's work revolves around water immersion, aiming to evoke calm, beauty and peace. Each oil painting depicting a serene watery oasis reflecting her unique style that offers something captivating in the art world.

I'm interested in reflections, what's inside and out of a window. I notice everything, a fold of a fabric and if the fabric is wet how it hugs the body. A shadow is as important as the object casting it. The way light hits the water on top but is still translucent. I love mixing fabric and how it makes shapes and patterns with or without colors. The human body is my favorite. I try not to be too realistic but somewhat impressionist. I'm happy when I'm creating.
