About The Artwork

"This is the year of the electoral boredom Two old guys are holding the future of over 340 millions souls in the Land of Freedom Personally I am speechless my work instead will have a tell about that" ORIGINAL ARTWORK ©2024 “Informal Graffiti is a tiny drawing on the blank surface of my artistic universe. My graffiti practice is informal because it does not follow the media, the format, the scale, or the intention of traditional graffiti art. Informal graffiti gets inspiration from Arte Povera’s philosophy, attempting to use intellectual and material fragments of the hyper consumption culture (credit cards, aluminum cans, old wooden boards, recycled old paper and canvas, etc.)”.

STATEMENTS The statements series are inspired by the contradictions of contemporary culture. Slogans and hashtags are reminding us what matters, what doesn’t, what should and what shouldn’t. The new fetish of “speaking out” or “being woke” is something to acquire and show, like a status symbol or a trophy. There is always something - useless - to tell. Statements works are mirrors in which is reflected our political subconscious. We are the contents of a rapidly changing society in which people are having hard time to establish democratic dialogues among diversity. Slogans and politics are questioning the present times. My Statements are risky business. They ask one simple question: how contemporary culture can still survive its own ridiculous failures. URBAN LANDSCAPES (psychographic) The urban landscape works represent a permanent visual research of space and interaction. These works - crossing places, cultures, languages, divergences, convergences - represent the refusal of a given photographic reality. I manipulate the image by visualizing landscapes above the appearance, the photographic reality within its material experience. The appearance is meant through Sartre’s existentialist philosophy: Appearance is Existence. The imagery of these works focus on the interacting space, uncovering what din’t “appear” at first sight I mold my own ideal habitat using my own visual experience. Fabio Coruzzi exhibited at galleries, museums and art fairs around the world. He is represented by American and European galleries
