About The Artwork
Ever since seeing The Wizard of Oz as a child, I've been fascinated with this deadly natural phenom. I've painted several others, too. Some folks find them mildly disturbing, which is fine! Tornadoes should scare the hell out of you if one is nearby. As a former commercial pilot, I've always fantasized about getting up close--at eye level--to a funnel cloud as it snakes down from the sky. The turbulence would be ferocious. The sky will be full of dangerous debris--cows, witches on broomsticks, your home, etc. My heart goes out to anyone who's been affected by a tornado. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy a print of one of my favorite paintings.
