BIOGRAPHY Sylvie Milman has been a self-taught artist for several years. Before painting, her passion was music. Clarinetist for decades she left music to focus on painting. She approaches painting a bit like music, which means that several times a week she spends long hours doing what she calls her scales. She works with passion on her brushstrokes, her colors and her style. She says she is intuitive in her approach, with an initial outline that will evolve according to the emotions present. Sylvie is inspired by many memories of trips she has made over the years. Her memory is especially touched by her memories of the Salish Sea where she had the good fortune to sail. Despite calling herself an intuitive artist, she attended many artistic workshops in British Columbia where she was established for several years on a small island of 5000 inhabitants. Returning to Quebec, her hometown, she continues to follow workshops, and also offers private face-to-face coaching and mixed technique workshops.
