"mountain slice 3" is an individual interpretation of mountains, made from a wood paste produced by the artist herself. This cross-section shows the individual, elaborately modeled layers, alternating between wood pulp and high-quality artists' acrylic paints. "mountain slice" shows mountains, which were made from a self-produced wood paste in combination with acrylic paints and gold imitation. The trained sculptor Sandra Brugger models her objects layer by layer from a self-developed wood paste, which she elaborately produces from wood shavings and sawdust, alternating with artist's acrylic paints. An intensive process, as each layer takes a long time to dry. 84 layers in total (color layers 61 / wood pulp layers 23). The gold imitation of the sun/moon, as well as the mountain peaks were made of leaf metal. The work of art is delivered protected in a self-made object frame made of larch (brushed and painted with a white glaze). Dimensions 3D object frame: Height: 26.0 x Width: 26.0 x Depth: 5.0 cm Frame thickness: 1.5 cm All of the artist's works are unique.

« Art helps me to express myself when words are missing. It is my retreat and helps me to be with myself, to lose myself in my own world. » Sandra Brugger (*1986) is a freelance self-employed sculptress based in Austria whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Germany and Italy. Through her works she processes experiences, emotions and situations that have touched her. The subjects and themes presented in Brugger's pieces are expansive and range from abstract shapes and nature, to humans. Her distinctive pieces are most often created using wood.
