Her thoughts while making this piece were about how different cultures in the world define masculinity. For example, many men have been taught to always stay strong and not show a lot of emotions. For Camilla Debora, modern masculinity is the opposite, and she thinks it is slowly changing in many ways around the globe. According to the Cambridge Dictionary, "machismo" (the name on the artwork) is defined as "male behavior that is strong and forceful and demonstrates very traditional ideas about how men and women should behave." The name on the artwork is meant to be kind of ironic, and she wanted to show a more up-to-date picture of today's modern man. As a result, she desired to use purple and shiny metallic sprays, which are not typically associated with masculinity but are more acceptable for men nowadays. She thinks that in Norway, it is more acceptable than ever for a man to be in touch with his own feelings, but that there is still a long way to go. It has been more spoken about in the media about the high suicide rate for young men in Norway lately and how important it is to take care of your mental health. This artwork is made with acrylics and metallic spray paint on canvas with a gloss varnish spray finish. It is an original painting and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Camilla Debora Hus is an artist based in Norway whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally. The art she makes is mainly made up of acrylics, but often with a touch of other mediums. In her early days, her fascination with art began to grow stronger as time passed by. After feeling a need to express herself, she started to draw illustrations. She went to study Fine Art in London, and after that, she fell more and more into the abstract world. Her abstractions are inspired by nature, the universe, and the mystery of existence.
