Ēto is driven to work as natural and environmentally friendly as possible. For this reason, she produces some plant-based paints herself. Being careful and conscientious with resources is one of her top priorities. However, as an artistit, it is not always easy to work in an environmentally friendly way. Some paints, paint residues and other materials are highly toxic and almost every artist has disposed of waste incorrectly in their life. For Ēto, too, working in harmony with nature was a process - and still is. She now uses vintage and antique materials and breathes new life into them. Sometimes she uses used canvases and produces almost no waste. She dedicated the series "I Broke The Earth" to the time when she was still learning how to work more sustainably as an artist. "I Broke The Earth" brings a sense of calm and sophistication to every space, whether displayed in a modern living room or a cozy study. Looking into the countless layers of different materials and the torn, cracked surface, envelops the viewer in an almost meditative calm. Two (N°1 and N°2) of the closed edition are already in private collections. Two (N°1 and N°2) of the closed edition are already in private collections.

Germany
Ēto lives and works in Germany and always had a strong interest in transformation and creation. As a child, she watched her mother paint and began painting herself at an early age. Awarded a design degree in 2004, she deepened her passion for abstract art and nature. She has travelled and lived in the Caribbean, Africa, North - and South America where her unique and intimate visual vocabulary was founded. In her paintings she uses handmade paper, metals, stone flours, homemade paints and antique linen. The texture and distinctive depth of her work is achieved through countless layers of these materials and represents the constant transformation of reality. The intentionally imperfect work is artificially aged and opposes the ifelong pursuit of perfection. Despite the wide range of interpretation of abstract art, the particular calm that emanates from her works creates a deep connection between the viewer and the artist herself. Her work can be found in private and public collections and was recently exhibited in Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland and North America.
