"System Error" belongs to a series about transhumanism, which is a project aimed at increasing the human being and making it a kind of ultra-sophisticated machine that can be improved and repaired endlessly. The human figure disappears behind the technology, each part of the body becomes like a puzzle piece that can be recombined ad infinitum. Here, the work shows a pregnant woman in profile, which is an aberration compared to a technological vision of the human being: like a computer bug, this famous "system error" which causes a machine to crash, because sexual reproduction is random, uncontrollable, and a sexually discriminating pregnancy. This painting is a unique piece made in mixed technique on canvas. He combines photography, digital composition and acrylic painting (glaze and around 200 transparent squares in relief). It is framed in black wood (total dimensions: approximately 71 x 51 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
