Original Canson 290g Fin grain Mat Print. Gold Metalised Thread Embroidery. Paper Format - 25x25cm Framed Format - 27x27cm The dhole is a highly social animal, living in large clans without rigid dominance hierarchies and containing multiple breeding females. Such clans usually consist of about 12 individuals, but groups of over 40 are known. It is a diurnal pack hunter which preferentially targets large and medium-sized ungulates. In tropical forests, the dhole competes with the tiger (Panthera tigris) and the leopard (Panthera pardus), targeting somewhat different prey species, but still with substantial dietary overlap. It is listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, as populations are decreasing and estimated to comprise fewer than 2,500 mature individuals. Factors contributing to this decline include habitat loss, loss of prey, competition with other species, persecution due to livestock predation, and disease transfer from domestic dogs. 10% of all sales will be donated to WWF. WWF works to sustain the natural world for the benefit of people and wildlife, collaborating with partners from local to global levels in nearly 100 countries. Works photographed without plexiglass inserted to avoid reflections. Works sent with plexiglass installed.

“Je ne suis ni optimiste, ni pessimiste. Je suis un tragique qui voit le réel tel qu’il est.” ― Michel Onfray 'Animalia' - A multi media body of Work by the artist. P.Pitout has developed a style of his own. He has participated in several exhibitions and art residencies in France, Germany, and Finland. My childhood on the coast of South Africa engrained a lifelong respect for nature, and the essential lessons one draws from time in it. Still confused that we dare raise ourselves above it. These works have been created with the intention of creating possible longterm donations to Associations working in Wildlife Conservation world wide. WWF is currently chosen for its wide reach. If you would like to get involved or suggest an organisation, please don't hesitate to get in touch,. Artist Statement - Often referencing physics and metaphysics, my work explores the varying relationships between philosophy, surreal concepts, and the modern digital age. My photography digital curative works are an exploration of modern social constructs & events. Often observed through a surreal lense.
